Funding entity KW-Tarifa (Álabe)
This proyect investigates failures in the VOltage Source INverters used to control the electric generators in a wind farm. These inverters handle the total power obtained from the electric generators. Therefore, they represent a key device in the production process.To date, the d.c. link voltage has been studied during operation watching out for dangerous overvoltage. The project is now focusing on the control and drive subsystems for the inverters. It will also examine componet substitution for the inverter subsystems to minimize problems with the supplies.
